Drive She Said! warmly invites you to join us for the 36th Citroën Rendezvous which will be held June 15th-17th, 2012 in the town of Saratoga Springs, New York. We are very excited to be celebrating 45 years of the Dyane, as well as 36 years of the Citroën Rendezvous and 10 years of Drive She Said! Join us for a weekend full of festivities.
The Rendezvous is the largest gathering of Citroëns in North America. Last year we welcomed friends driving from all corners of North America: Quebec, Maryland, Washington, Ontario, California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, Nova Scotia, New Hampshire, Virginia, Texas, Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, New Brunswick, Indiana, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Tennessee, Maine, New Jersey, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Vermont, South Carolina, as well as special guests from France, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands. Citroën ownership is not required to attend. We welcome everyone and encourage you to bring your partner, spouse, kids, friends and pets for the fun-filled weekend!

This will be our 10th year in Saratoga Springs and by popular demand, the events schedule has expanded. The town has so much to offer and plenty of lodging options. Have a soak in one of the famed mineral baths from which Saratoga Springs draws its name, and take in the wide range of restaurants, shops and music venues scattered throughout downtown. There are also farmer's markets, parks and numerous museums to visit in the area. So, pack up the car and join us this June for all the fun! We look forward to seeing you in Saratoga Springs!

For those arriving on Thursday, plan to join us at the Lake Ridge Restaurant in Round Lake, New York. We are returning to this establishment after a delightful dining experience last year. Book your table early as we expect to completely fill every seat! We will see you at the Lake Ridge sometime between 6pm -10pm. Advanced reservation is necessary, either book with friends or ask to be seated with others.
Please note the cost of this event is not covered by your Rendezvous registration fee.

Friday, June 15th, 6pm to 8pm: Pool-side Registration at the Springs Motel, 189 Broadway, Saratoga Springs
The Rendezvous officially begins! We welcome old and new friends to the Springs Motel located just on the southern edge of town. Here you can register or pick up your pre-registration packet complete with entry wristbands, windshield mylar, detailed maps and a complete schedule of all weekend events. Stick around the parking lot for a complimentary tailgate pizza party, beverage and dessert followed by a movie screening. The registration table will close for the evening at 8pm, but the soirée will continue until....

Saturday Banquet Dinner 5:30pm to 8pm in The Pavilion located on the edge of the Show Field at Lakeside Farms
Your organizers are particularly excited over this years Banquet. 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of Drive She Said! presenting the Rendezvous and we want to be sure to make this is one party you will not soon forget! There will be some surprises in conjunction with our anniversary celebration, as well as a Silent Auction with 100% of the proceeds supporting the Rendezvous. If you have items you would like to donate to the Silent Auction, please email us details. In addition, there will be a 50-50 Raffle as well as the return of the Pecka-Kucha presentations. You are not going to want to miss this fun-filled evening which will culminate with the presentation of the People's Choice Awards!
Saturday, June 16th, 9am to 4pm: Lakeside Farms, 336 Schauber Road, Ballston Lake, New York
The NEW Show Field and Vendor Sales area will open at 9am sharp. The Citroën Dyane will be our front-line featured car.
Join us for a complimentary continental breakfast avec café. Please follow parking instructions on the Show Field so that cars can be grouped by model.
We request that all attendees vote for their favorite vehicles using the the People's Choice Ballot included in your registration packet.
In keeping with tradition, morning music will be provided by the dueling accordions of Norma and Peggy. Afternoon entertainment and overall chaos is blamed on Susan & Joe, the Airborne Jugglers.
Do you have any Junk in Your Trunk? The Rendezvous is the place to unload that excess baggage!
While we discourage tailgate sales, we do offer a table in the vending area for you to leave your goods for sale. A small percentage of the sale will be collected which goes to support the Rendezvous. Contact us with any questions.
For Lunch, we encourage registrants to picnic on the show field! Tables and shade will be provided. Food and beverage provisions may also be purchased at the adjacent Lakeside Farms Country Market and Restaurant. Their selection is vast and all-encompassing. Here you will find everything that you will need to enjoy the afternoon without having to leave the site.
(Please note that for 2012, Drive She Said! will not be offering a pre-paid box lunch on the show-field.)
Tech Session details will be listed in your registration packet as well as announced on-site. Keep your eyes and ears open for announcements of additional activities!
Peoples Choice Voting and Vendor Sales will end at 4pm so that the evening banquet site may be prepared.
Between 4pm and 5pm, Entertainers Susan and Joe have cooked up a special pre-banquet show. It is so secret they aren’t even filling us in!

As this is our 10th year converging on Saratoga, many repeat visitors know to book their rooms early. We recommend you review and print the R-12 map, showing all addresses, venue times and site locations.
We can always use extra hands at the Rendezvous. From on-site manual labor to more specialized skill sets, we welcome all input. Sign on early to help out or check with us on-site to volunteer. This is your Rendezvous: the more you contribute and participate, the better the event is for everyone!

11am to 1pm: Scenic Drive to the Parabolic Bridge in Hadley, New York
From the parking lot of the Springs Motel, we will depart en mass to the lovely town of Hadley, New York to check out the Parabolic Bridge which has historic landmark status. From here, we will take a few minute drive to the Gazebo on Lake Luzerne where we will provide a casual picnic lunch. We request that you bring along chairs and blankets, if you have them, or simply lift the seats out of your 2CV! The organizers encourage you to allocate extra time winding down from the weekend events and join us as we investigate the history and treasures this area of New York State has to offer. From here, we will provide maps for easy Northway access.

Some folks arrive a day early to get acclimated before the French car crowd flows in, some stay a day later to enjoy a leisurely drive home on Monday without the hassle of weekend traffic. For 2012, we have decided to begin a new tradition with an outdoor dinner Sunday night at the Springs Motel where the views into the parking lot don’t get any better. Here we will partake in a B-B-Q dinner, music and conversation with friends. Our great ally, and Rendezvous supporter Karl, of the Springs Motel, has offered a special reduced Sunday night rate for anyone staying over. Consider staying at the Springs Motel this night, even if you weren’t able to book there for the entire weekend. Rooms will be available, please contact them directly to book. Also be sure to check off the box on the Registration form if you plan to attend this dinner. An advance headcount will be a necessary for us both in organizing and provisioning this new event.

When Drive She Said! assumed organization of the Rendezvous in 2003, we had a vision of a collaborative effort, to work together to create a fun Rendezvous, inclusive of everyone in attendance. With each passing year, we reflect on those who espouse the Drive She Said! mantra and we take this moment to acknowledge and thank everyone who has participated, be it by their financial support, emotional aid or by rolling up their sleeves to help out not only on-site, but in the months leading up to the event.
